# The Neuroscience and Cognition program at UFABC was approved in both master’s and doctorate (PhD) level by CAPES in early 2011. The master’s program has two entry periods during the year, while the PhD has three. The activities of the master’s start in the first and third term, while the activities of the PhD program starts in all three terms: February, June and September.
The first step for those who want to enter the Graduate Program is to define an advisor an advisor that do research in the desired research line. We suggest that this contact occurs a few months before the beginning of the application process.
The objective of the program is to qualify the students technically and scientifically for the exercise of teaching, research and production. The curriculum consists of courses covering the several fields from Neuroscience and Cognition, with an interdisciplinary approach that will prepare students to integrate knowledge from these different fields into innovative projects.
Selected students may apply for scholarships from UFABC and from Brazilian research funding agencies.
